Abstract
Public transportation is essential for functional urban mobility, offering cost- effective, safe, and convenient commuting – especially in densely populated cities like Riyadh. Between 2019 and 2024, average peak-hour travel time within Riyadh increased by approximately 10%, according to the Scorecard by INRIX (2025), and it is expected to rise further in 2025 if current conditions persist.
