About
Fakhri Hasanov is a Senior Principal Fellow in the Energy Macro and Microeconomics Program at KAPSARC, leading the KAPSARC Global Energy Macroeconometric Model projects. With more than 20 years of expertise in econometric modeling and forecasting, his work focuses on energy demand, environmental economics, and macroeconomic policy analysis. Before joining KAPSARC, he was a postdoctoral researcher at George Washington University. Fakhri has published more than 50 studies in leading journals such as Energy Policy and Energy Economics. Recognized among the top 2% of scientists globally, he serves on editorial boards of peer-reviewed journals and holds a Ph.D. in econometrics.
